Common questions
Quick answers to questions we hear most often.
Do I have to use the Feedz CLI to push and pull packages?
No. You can use whichever tool is to your package type - the dotnet CLI, NuGet.exe,
npm, and others all work directly with Feedz feeds. The Feedz CLI is an optional tool for
scenarios where a client isn't available or you want a single consistent interface
across feed types.
Does Feedz work with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps?
Yes. Feedz works with any CI/CD platform that can set environment variables and run shell
commands. Store your API key as a secret in your pipeline, then reference it when calling
the Feedz CLI or using your package manager's tool. See the
CI/CD integration docs for step-by-step examples.
What's the maximum package size?
Individual packages can be up to 3.5 GB. If you regularly work with larger artifacts, contact
sales@feedz.io to discuss your requirements.
Can I restore a deleted package version?
Possibly. When you delete a package version it is moved to cold storage rather than immediately
destroyed. The recovery window depends on your plan - 1 day on Free, 30 days on Starter, and
1 year on Professional. You can restore a package directly from the portal within your
recovery window.
How do I automatically remove old package versions?
Feed-level retention rules let you keep only the latest N versions of each package.
Configure them under Feed → Settings → Retention. Feedz automatically removes
older versions as new ones arrive.
What happens if I go over my storage or transfer limit?
Feedz uses soft limits. Exceeding your plan limits won't block uploads or downloads - your
builds keep running. You'll receive an email notification and the overage will appear on your
next invoice at a small per-GB rate. You can upgrade at any time to increase your base allowance.
What happens when my trial ends?
A credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period your account
automatically converts to a paid plan - but you can cancel at any time during the trial
and you won't be charged. Cancelled trials move to the Free plan so you can continue
using Feedz at no cost.
Can I change plans mid-billing cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated - you're only charged for the remainder
of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next cycle.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes - annual billing is available on all paid plans. You can switch between monthly and annual
at any time from your organisation's billing settings.
